I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
