According to new allegations from a informant, Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year prison term for trafficking offenses, is reportedly preparing a clemency request for consideration by the presidential administration.

Special Treatment Claimed at Correctional Facility

House Democrats on the House judiciary committee revealed that a source provided evidence indicating Maxwell is working on the clemency petition. They also stated she has been receiving special treatment at the minimum-security facility in the Lone Star State.

Representative Jamie Raskin, the ranking member on the committee, stated in a official statement that the prison’s warden was “helping” Maxwell with document preparation and submission to support her bid for executive mercy.

The exact content of the clemency request remain unknown, Raskin added.

Claimed Perks and Special Accommodations

The representative claims that, per the insider, the prisoner has been given specially prepared food that are hand-delivered to her living area, and the warden has “personally arranged” private meetings for Maxwell and her guests.

The visits reportedly involve a “special cordoned-off area” for attendees and a variety of food and drinks for her associates.

Maxwell’s visitors were also reportedly permitted to bring computers, which the congressman characterized as an exceptional measure given the potential danger and chance of unsupervised contact.

Reportedly on one occasion, when communications failed for other prisoners, she was provided directions about who she should tell her associates to call and how staff would relay the call to her.

Warden as “Personal Secretary”

The source also allegedly told House Democrats that when the convict wanted to review and edit documents promptly, she reportedly employed the official as her “personal secretary and administrative assistant”.

The statement indicates that those writing to her would email documents directly to the warden, who would provide them to Maxwell, who would review and edit them and provide them back to the warden to scan and provide to the original sender.

Extra Benefits Alleged

Other privileges allegedly granted to Maxwell include time to “play with” a trainee assistance dog – a perk not “ordinarily allowed” – as well as exclusive nighttime use to the prison exercise area.

Her legal counsel has not yet replied to a inquiry regarding the insider's allegations.

In a statement, the presidential office said that it “does not comment” on potential clemency requests.

“Per the President's remarks, granting clemency to the convict is not something he has thought about,” the spokesperson added.

Recently, reports surfaced that she told friends and family in electronic messages that she was “much happier” at the Texas facility than her former location.

In August, Maxwell was transferred from a low-security prison in Florida's capital to the minimum-security camp in the state, where most inmates are incarcerated for financial and non-violent crimes.

This move, which authorities called as “unprecedented”, occurred just days after she was questioned about the Epstein case by the senior justice official, Todd Blanche, who also previously served as the President's private attorney.

That interview came as the Trump administration was facing mounting pressure to release more documents related to the ongoing probe and amid widespread conjecture around Trump's own connections to the fallen billionaire and convicted sex offender, who was found deceased in custody in that year while facing trial on trafficking accusations.

Lawmaker Reactions

Through the statement, the congressman also revealed that he had dispatched a communication to Trump, demanding answers about the insider's claims, and urged the chief executive to deny Maxwell’s commutation request.

“It would be inappropriate to approve any type of pardon to this convicted and unrepentant sex offender,” Raskin wrote in the document. “Your Administration should not be providing her with personal amenities, with puppies to play with, with federal law enforcement officials attending to her requests, or with any preferential handling or institutional privilege at all.”

The congressman asked that the official attend a open legislative session to address the disclosures and also posed three questions to Trump.

He inquired whether Trump had discussed a possible clemency for Maxwell with Blanche or others, whether he had instructed him or anyone else to provide her with the transfer or favorable and preferential treatment in detention, and whether Maxwell, her lawyers, relatives or representatives have made any commitments to the President or his attorneys.
