Around 25,000 households in Queensland's southeast woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms impacted the region, generating strong winds reaching 109 kilometers per hour.
Large Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Impact
Homeowners observed large ice chunks measuring up to 7cm in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that various areas across the state had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

Moist weather were expected to linger along much of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a atmospheric system continued to draw in moisture against the shoreline.
